This waterfall is approx 30 min from our home. It is about a 10-15 min walk in, depending how fast you walk. I was surprised to see a house along the trail. The people did not seem to mind us being there, and the walk in was very clean. No garbage anywhere. They even have a barrel for anyone who may have walked in with some bottles or cans.
I would suggest you bring a good pair of water shoes if you plan on exploring these cascading falls. It seems to just continue on and on, with one water fall as impressive as the next. Once you get to the waterfalls, you find yourself immersed in this peaceful sound of running water and beautiful landscape. I put together a quick video in an attempt to give the viewer an idea of what to expect. I must say though, there is nothing like seeing the real thing. My suggestion: Pack a lunch, bring lots of water, wear good hiking/water shoes, and please help preserve the area. whatever you brought with you, take it back. The neighbors that lives so close to these falls have been wonderful caretakers of such an amazing place. It would be a shame to see this place littered with anything but wild mushrooms, and long tree trunks surrounding Maggie Falls. Enjoy !
